As simple as it may seem
You hold one end
While I hold the other.
Not to test each other's strength
But to share them
Instead.

Through this tow
that marches from my point
to the next
and back to its source.


Once and again we pull
ourselves
nearer
closer


Yet this rope remains.
Stranded.
